It may be the middle of winter but several Oakland Raiders are enjoying some time in the shade on Twitter.
It started with guard Kelechi Osemele throwing some shade on quarterback Derek Carr with a little Toy Story throwback:
Youโve come a long way bro. Proud of you! #Raidernation @derekcarrqb #toystory #swaggyD ๐๐๐พ๐๐ค๐พ pic.twitter.com/EzAzGLnldf

I mean, youโve got to admit…. Kelechi has a point…
And running back Latavius Murray seemed to agree:
@KOseven0 why you do @derekcarrqb like that!? ๐๐๐๐ #ToyStoryHead

But Carr wasnโt about to sit back, he had some jokes of his own:
@KOseven0 @LataviusM ok ๐๐๐ we shootin… ๐๐

Carr then threw up some tweets poking fun at Murray and Osemele only to take them down explaining he just wanted to make sure they understood he could play that way if they wanted him to:
@LataviusM @KOseven0 ๐๐๐๐๐ผ doesnโt usually mean neutral
โ Derek Carr (@derekcarrqb) February 8, 2021
@KOseven0 @LataviusM yes I took them down… just needed yโall to know I can play too ๐๐ #Sid

But while Derek was ready to be the bigger man and walk away, Murray wasnโt so ready to end the roast session:
@derekcarrqb ๐๐๐???? @KOseven0 pic.twitter.com/nr3bhZqcA6

And thatโs when Derek decided the high road was no longer for him and reposted his tweets roasting both Osemele and Murray:
@LataviusM @KOseven0 wowwwwww ok they are going back up ๐๐ pic.twitter.com/htjSuhc1TZ
โ Derek Carr (@derekcarrqb) February 8, 2021
@LataviusM @KOseven0 I tried to be nice with you 2 ๐๐ pic.twitter.com/AneMVbdR1j

I still think Osemeleโs original tweet comparing Carr to Sid from Toy Story won the day, but it was good to see these teammates having fun with each other during the offseason. An interaction on Twitter may not seem like a big deal but it represents the building and sustaining of good chemistry. Teammates who donโt enjoy each otherโs company wouldnโt be cracking jokes at each otherโs expense for laughs in the offseason.
Just happy they decided to have this roast session in public so Raiders fans could enjoy.
