The Oakland Raiders won the turnover battle against the New York Giants forcing two turnovers while only giving away the ball once. But things easily could have gone much differently had the Giants been able to capitalize on all of the opportunities provided to them by Oakland.
The Giants only managed one turnover, recovering a fumble by Johnny Holton, but that was only one of four fumbles by the Raiders on Sunday. The other three fumbles came at the hands of Jalen Richard who just couldn’t seem to catch a break as a punt returner.
And then there were the two passes Derek Carr threw that by all means should have been interceptions. In both instances, Carr delivered the ball right into the hands of Giants defenders but both times, an easy interception was dropped and Oakland was able to continue their drive.
