A break down of 19 mock drafts has a clear favorite for the Raiders

The NFL Draft is now under one week away which makes it a perfect time to take a look at what the experts are saying about the Oakland Raiders. Here is a look at the mock draft picks of 19 different journalists with the totals below. Unfortunately, I was not too happy with the most popular choice for the Raiders.

I would love for the Raiders to draft a linebacker in the first round, but unless Hassan Reddick or Reuben Foster falls to them, I’d prefer they wait until the second round and take a guy like Raekwon McMillan.

Of the other names that the experts have the Raiders taking, there are a couple that really caught my eye. The pick of David Njoku just seemed random and unlikely to happen. Same with John Ross. Malik McDowell made me happy as he’s a guy I really like personally. Kevin King is another name I like and would be fun to see since he’s an Oakland kid. Adoree Jackson and Marlon Humphrey surprised me a bit. Not because I don’t think the Raiders could take a corner, they definitely could, but because I think there might be better options available than those two. Then again, some are predicting a first round run on corners so you never know, maybe not.
